LAS VEGAS, NV – DC Building Group broke ground at the new Horizon Chevron and Liberty Tech & Tire Automotive and Fueling Center located at 770 E. Horizon Drive in Henderson. The auto center will have a fueling station, convenience store, auto care facility, and a fast food QSR. The 6,158-square foot project is owned/developed by Huran Rashid who opened his initial Liberty Tech & Tire – an automotive repair and tire facility – on S. Maryland Parkway in 2012. With over 25 years of experience in the automotive business, Rashid has always dreamed of expanding his business into a one-stop shop that would include a gas station, convenience store and auto care facility. With the acquisition of this land on Horizon Drive, his dream will now become a reality.
“My business is a customer-focused, honest repair facility in Las Vegas with a rank of #1 in Yelps best 10 automotive shop listings in Las Vegas,” said Rashid. “We are opening a top notch Chevron state-of-the art fueling station…I chose the Chevron brand because of the superior quality gasoline which aligns with my customer focus attitude.”
The auto center will be situated on less than one acre of land, allowing DC Building Group to implement master logistical navigation and skill. The buildings will be constructed out of CMU block with architectural furring covered in exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) and steel canopies. The project is scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2017. Suzana Rutar Architects will serve as the architect of record, and DC Building Group’s Kevin Raffiani will serve as project superintendent.
After the earth moving equipment moves out, the building foundation excavation on all pads will begin. Two 20,000-gallon double wall fuel tanks will be installed along with additional shoring. Approximately a quarter mile of NVE piping will be installed in the street to bring power to the site.
