Ely, NV – Through a design-build effort, Danoski Clutts Building Group recently broke ground in Ely, Nevada to expand and renovate the Operating Rooms at William Bee Ririe Hospital. Partnering with JVC Architects, the team has spent the last seven months working with the White Pine County Hospital District Board in designing the new facility to meet the anticipated surgical requirements for the community. The work consists of 2,200 square feet of renovation and approximately 1,700 square feet of expansion work.
“With the continued growth in surgeries the current operating room area is undersized, therefore necessitating the expansion to meet patient needs,” says CEO Jan Jensen. “Upon completion, William Bee Ririe Hospital will have a state of the art operating facility.”
Construction is now underway and anticipated to be completed in the first quarter of 2011. William Bee Ririe Hospital performs a variety of surgical procedures, including general/laparoscopic, orthopedics, OB/gyn, urology, ear/nose and throat, podiatry, ophthalmology, dental and pain management. The existing operating suites were developed in mid 1960’s and will be renovated to exceed current medical facility standards and local building codes.
“This project is another prime example of our abilities to perform design-build services, specializing in the medical industry,” says Bryce Clutts, President of Danoski Clutts Building Group. “We look forward to completing this project and providing a facility that will have a positive impact on the community it serves.”
