Las Vegas, NV – Danoski Clutts Building Group (DCBG) completes construction of the newest USO lounge at McCarran International Airport on schedule and under budget just in time for Veteran’s Day. A ribbon-cutting event was recently held with local and national dignitaries, members of the Armed Forces and war heroes of the Wounded Warriors Project to celebrate the facility’s grand opening.
USO Celebrity Chairman Wayne Newton, Senator John Ensign, Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak, and Director of Aviation for McCarran International Airport Randy Walker were also in attendance.
“In my two years (as commissioner) this is one of my crowing achievements — having this lounge finally open up for our troops,” expressed Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak. “It is our community’s duty to support our troops as they prepare to fight for our freedoms.”
Doug Bradford, Center Director for the Las Vegas USO Lounge praised Danoski Clutts for their efforts in completing the work above and beyond the USO’s expectations. “Our Angel from Heaven was (DCBG) Superintendent Dennis Fischer, shared Bradford, “Fischer’s attention to the issues got them resolved just as soon as they came about. He did a remarkable job in getting this facility up and running just in time for honoring our troops this Veteran’s Day.”
Military leaders and members of Nevada’s Congressional Delegation also expressed their gratitude for the combined efforts of local people and businesses responsible for getting this facility developed for the estimated 55,000 troops and their families that frequent McCarran International Airport every year.
As USO Celebrity Chairman Wayne Newton stated in closing, “It’s amazing what can be accomplished when nobody cares to take credit. Five years after this process began our community can now share its love for the troops that sacrifice their lives for the freedoms that we experience every day.”
“This event was a humbling experience and a project our company will remember for years to come,” expressed Bryce Clutts, President of Danoski Clutts. “Our project management and team of subcontractors did a remarkable job. We are honored to share in the success in performing a job well done for the USO.”
