SUMMERLIN, NV (Dec. 2014) – DC Building Group has finished the build-out of four major tenants in the Sahara Center Power Center at Sahara and Hualapai in Las Vegas. The 220,000 square foot center is now open for business with 5 anchor tenants. DC Building Group constructed the tenant improvements for TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Petco, and Steinmart. Sprouts grocery is also in the center.
The project is exciting for the entire Las Vegas area, as it kicked off as one of the first new major ground up retail developments since the recession of 2008. DC building group coordinated the tenant construction with developer of the shell building to keep the schedule on track. In the end, TJ Maxx and Homegoods had the option to open ahead of their initial schedule. Erik Colburn, the project superintendent for DC, noted “Although a lot of projects run into deadline delaying issues, the team at Sahara Center was able to overcome any issues and deliver a quality project to the owner through our knowledge, teamwork, and professionalism.” He noted that all of the subcontractors delivered a great work product, and a special shout-out to Alliance Electric for coordinating well and finishing their portion ahead of schedule.
